How’s this for an outdoors equation: the more apparently random and bizarre – the more joyful. Which is perhaps why we gathered on Sunday at dusk on a Torbay road, walked across a field and down to a cove. Then we watched as the sky and sea became delicate; pink-dusted, powder-blue. A shy almost supermoon edged from the water; initially translucent and hard to see.
Then, as it darkened, we swam where the moon-path met the whale-road in now bright reflected lunar light.
And we smiled – a lot. And grinned. Then we emerged, dried off and ate buns in the dark. Bizarre and random? Not at all – actually, really, the only sensible thing to do.
Thank you arch instigators Ju, Jackie and Allan. Delightful to meet you Torbay Shoal members, and one of Two Blondes Walking. Where and what next, and when?!
